Antananarivo, April 9, 2020. In order to support the efforts undertaken by the authorities to fight against the spread of Covid-19, Ambatovy donated a batch of 3,000 protective coveralls to the official authorities of Antananarivo on Thursday, April 9, 2020. This donation follows other contributions given to the health authorities in Toamasina, Moramanga, and Brickaville, with a total number of 5,200 protective coveralls.

Those 5,200 hooded and antistatic coveralls, consistent with the technical and medical requirements, are compatible with a respirator and protect against radioactive particles (EN 1073-2, category 2) and infectious agent (EN 14126) contamination. They will be used by the frontline medical personnel who treat patients and do the testing, as well as by the various frontline staff, including those working at the health barriers, to individually protect them against any contact with the virus.

This batch of 5,200 protective coverall supplements previous donations made by Ambatovy since last month, as part of the fight against the spread of the coronavirus. As a reminder, the Company already gave the following contributions to Toamasina and Moramanga:
