Toamasina, April 8, 2020

As part of the efforts to fight against the spread of Covid-19, Ambatovy donated 200 protective coveralls against coronavirus contamination, to the authority of Brickaville on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. These TYVEK coveralls serve as sanitary barriers and aim to individually protect medical staff as well as the various frontline stakeholders against Covid-19 and any contact with the virus in the performance of their tasks.

It should be noted that Ambatovy already donated 1,500 coveralls of the same brand and quality to the authorities of Toamasina on April 7, 2020, while also providing meals to the medical staff and the ten patients of Covid-19 at the University Hospital of Morafeno, from April 9 to April 19, 2020. In the next few days, Ambatovy will make donation in Antananarivo and Moramanga.

It should be recalled that this donation follows the other contributions made by the Company to support the efforts to fight against the spread of Covid-19, including the provision of medical equipment and supplies to the regions of Toamasina and Moramanga. Combatting the coronavirus pandemic is ensuring the health and safety of the employees and the communities, which is among Ambatovy’s number one priorities in the sustainable development approach in its intervention areas.
