Antananarivo – April 18, 2020. Following the donation of 5,200 personal protective coveralls to the Administrative and Health Authorities in Toamasina, Brickaville, Moramanga, and to the Urban Commune of Antananarivo, during the first week of April, Ambatovy continues its contribution to the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic by donating another batch of 3,000 protective coveralls to hospitals in Antananarivo today.

This contribution is part of the support to the efforts undertaken by the authorities to fight against the spread of Covid-19. These antistatic and hooded suits, consistent with the technical and medical requirements, are compatible with a respirator and protect against radioactive particles (EN 1073-2, category 2) and infectious agent (EN 14126) contamination. They will be used by the frontline medical personnel who treat patients and do the testing, as well as by the various frontline staff, including those working at the health barriers, to individually protect them against any contact with the virus.

As a reminder, and as part of the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, this new batch of protective coveralls follows the previous donations made by Ambatovy, including, among others, the first batch of 5,200 protective coveralls, large medical supplies and equipment donated to the hospitals of Toamasina and Moramanga, thousands of foods for 15 days for the medical staff at the University Hospital Center of Morafeno and the Operational Command Center of Toamasina, as well as for the personnel working at the health barriers on the National Road 2 (Marozevo and Beforona).
