To ensure the health and safety of the surrounding communities, Ambatovy, in partnership with Madarail, continues its rail safety awareness campaigns for those living near the railway tracks linking the Port of Toamasina to the Ambatovy Plant. This year, about 11,000 people will be educated on rail safety. The campaign, which began in April, targets vulnerable groups, including the disabled and families of mentally handicapped individuals, through door-to-door efforts. This initiative aims to improve the behaviour of level-crossing users and enhance safety measures, supporting the goal of ‘Zero accidents.’ Additionally, Ambatovy played an active part in celebrating World Level Crossing Awareness Day on June 14, 2024, in Toamasina.
