Ambatovy considers health and safety of its employees – including those of its contractors and suppliers – and the communities involved in its activities as a top and non- negotiable priority. Moreover, Ambatovy complies with the most stringent standards in this area and supports its stakeholders to achieve them. To this end, seven Moramanga-based companies specialized in construction and public works have recently benefited from a training course on work at height and risk management, initiated by Ambatovy. The training, which aims to help local companies meet Ambatovy’s Health and Safety requirements, is part of the various support and assistance programs gratuitously offered by the company for its contractors in line with the activities carried out by ALBI (Ambatovy Local Business Initiative). Also, it should be remembered that the transfer of skills and the development of the private sector through the contracts granted to local SMEs are among the value added  that Ambatovy brings to the national economy.
