Since 2023, as part of its initiatives to support income-generating activities among farmers in proximity to its operational areas, Ambatovy has launched a program aimed at developing the ginger sector in the Moramanga district, particularly in the rural communes of Andasibe, Ambatovola, and Beforona. A total of 137 producers from 10 village associations in these localities have benefited from the program, receiving 9,000 kg of ginger rhizomes, 5,000 banana shoots, as well as organic fertilizers. Furthermore, training sessions have been provided to strengthen farmers’ proficiency in agricultural techniques.
