As community health and safety remain top priorities for Ambatovy, the company has taken steps to enhance cyclone preparedness in key municipalities within its operational areas.
In early February 2025, Ambatovy donated various materials and equipment to the Comité Communal de Gestion des Risques et des Catastrophes (CCGRC) of Suburban Toamasina, Amboditandroroho, and Andasibe, as well as to the Comité de District de Gestion des Risques et des Catastrophes (CDGRC) of Moramanga.
This donation included:
- 1,000-liter water tanks to ensure water supply in case of shortages,
- Megaphones and whistles to facilitate emergency alerts,
- High-visibility vests for committee members during interventions, and
- Life jackets for Amboditandroroho and Suburban Toamasina, specifically for river-based rescue operations.
This initiative is part of the implementation of the Communal Contingency Plans (CCP) in these municipalities, reinforcing disaster preparedness and response efforts.
