Ambatovy officially handed over two reconstructed buildings to the District of Moramanga on November 3, 2017. The reconstruction of these two annex buildings, which were damaged by the two cyclones in February and March 2012, is a result of the collaboration between Ambatovy and the District of Moramanga. Ambatovy has fully funded the reconstruction works while the District of Moramanga took charge of the demolition along with the costs associated with the project study and work supervision.

“This reconstruction, amounting to over 95 million Ariary, was carried out to facilitate communities’ access to a better administrative service quality,” outlined Philippe Beaulne, Vice-President, Sustainability, at Ambatovy.

The new annex offices will host different decentralized technical services and districts, and will facilitate the administration’s works while contributing at the same time to the improvement of public services provided to citizens.

The construction and rehabilitation of infrastructures to the benefit of host communities are part of Ambatovy’s social activities for local development.
