More than 4,000 students in Moramanga and Toamasina will benefit from a school nutrition program supported by Ambatovy over the course of the 2024 – 2025 academic year. As part of the program, students will receive free nutritious snacks, including enriched flour-based dishes (koba) and cereal bars, aimed at improving their overall nutritional health.
Launched during the 2022 – 2023 school year through a partnership between Ambatovy and the Atsinanana Regional Nutrition Office (ORN), the program initially focused on schools in Toamasina II. For 2024 – 2025, Ambatovy has expanded the initiative to include students in Moramanga as well.
This initiative is part of Ambatovy’s broader efforts to support education in its areas of operation. In addition to addressing nutritional needs, the program also seeks to increase success rates in the CEPE exams and help reduce school dropout rates in these communities.
