In 2010, Ambatovy has trained 10,000 people as part of its Health and Safety protection policy (4,900 for Permit to Work, 4, 200 for Site Orientation, and 1,500 for Process Verification and Operations Testing Permit). In fact, 2010 was a key transitional year for the Ambatovy H&S training department as 35 training modules were identified, and 13 full-time trainers conducted the training. This year, as of April 2011, 9,000 people have already participated in training. Ambatovy is committed to ensuring the health and safety of those involved their operations and production. The Project is compliant with the legal requirements and employs rigorous protection measures. A primary objective of the Ambatovy H&S department is to take the necessary precautions to identify, assess, and manage the health, safety and environmental protection hazards.
