We are delighted to welcome Mark Zaborowski as our new President of Ambatovy, effective December 2024. With over two decades of leadership experience in the mining and natural resources industry, Mark has successfully led large-scale and complex operations across South Africa and Australia including, recently successful turnarounds at Alcoa of Australia’s Kwinana and Pinjarra Alumina refineries. We have great confidence in Mark’s ability to steer Ambatovy through the opportunities and challenges towards greater achievements in the future.
After three years of dedicated service, Gus Gomes will be leaving Ambatovy in December 2024. His tenure has been marked by steady leadership and a strong commitment to guiding Ambatovy through numerous and complex challenges, including addressing operational issues, and navigating market fluctuations that impacted the metal industry and particularly the nickel and cobalt. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for his invaluable contributions for the long-term sustainability of Ambatovy’s operations.
