Promoting access to quality education for all is one of Ambatovy’s core priorities in its social investment strategy. As part of this commitment, the company is supporting a literacy program for communities in its areas of operation.
Recently, 84 adults from six villages in the rural communes of Ambohibary and Andasibe, in Moramanga District, successfully completed a three-month functional literacy program initiated and funded by Ambatovy and implemented by the Mitia Association.
To ensure strong, local support and effective follow-up, twelve women and men were also trained as literacy facilitators. These community-based educators play a vital role in guiding and supporting their peers throughout the program and beyond.
Certificate award ceremonies, marking the completion of the program, were held in Ambohibary and Andasibe in April 2025.
