To promote the professional integration of young people in its areas of operation, Ambatovy is supporting the vocational training of 30 out-of-school youth in the Moramanga district. In December 2024, the company donated four professional sewing machines to the Centre de Promotion Féminine (CPF) in Andasibe to mark the official launch of a three-month sewing and tailoring course for thirty young girls. Aged between 13 and 17, the girls come from vulnerable families living in about ten villages around the Ambatovy Mine in Moramanga (including Ampitambe, Berano, Ambohimanarivo and Ampielemana). This initiative, carried out in partnership with the CPF Andasibe, aims to equip participants with practical skills to improve their employment prospects. In addition, a second wave of vocational training in masonry and carpentry, aimed at young boys from the region, will also be launched this year.
