Sherritt International Corporation (“Sherritt”) announced on Monday, May 1, 2017 that discussions between Sherritt and its partners in the Joint Venture Ambatovy, Sumitomo Corporation (Sumitomo) and Korea Resources Corporation (KORES) have reached an agreement in principle on the main elements of a revised joint venture partnership structure . The agreement in principle provides that Sherritt’s current 40% interests will be reduced to 12%, while the company will remain the Operator of the Ambatovy Joint Venture.
