Ambatovy handed over several fishing materials and equipment to fishermen associations in Toamasina on July 27 and 28, 2016. This donation was carried out in line with the company’s social contribution to the surrounding communities. In order to increase and improve their revenues, five associations gathering 120 fishermen from the fokontany of Ambodisaina Ivondro and Dépôt Analakininina have received 80 life jackets, 160 fishing nets with accessories and 16 freezers, worth approximately Ariary 10.5 million. Ambatovy is striving to contribute to the local development of its host community and this donation is also part of the company’s support to different sectors of the social life of the communities in the areas where Ambatovy operates.
