Being a large and local company that works in accordance with the international standards, Ambatovy pays special attention to the conservation and management of industrial risks. As such, Ambatovy provided financial and logistic support for a training workshop intended for the members of the Regional Committee for Industrial Risk Management in the Alaotra Mangoro Region, which was held in Moramanga on August 17 and 18. Provided by the BNGRC, the training was aimed at implementing the CRFRI by giving them core knowledge and judicial concepts on the management and reduction of risks and catastrophes related to industrial activities. The training session began with a visit of Ambatovy’s Mine Site to learn firsthand what a large industrial installation is, then to see in-person the measures undertaken by the company to prevent industrial risks related to its activities.
