Cette année, Ambatovy célèbre le 10ème anniversaire de la production de briquettes de nickel et de cobalt raffinés.
Ambatovy est devenue la plus grande unité d’extraction et de raffinage de minerai à Madagascar, ainsi que l’un des cinq principaux producteurs de nickel et de cobalt raffinés au monde. En raffinant entièrement nos produits dans le pays, nous apportons une valeur ajoutée significative en termes de retombées économiques locales et nationales. Madagascar peut être fier que des produits entièrement transformés sur son sol contribuent à la transition énergétique, le nickel et le cobalt étant des composants clés des batteries de véhicules électriques, souligne le Président d’Ambatovy, M. Gustavo Gomes.
Durant ces 10 ans, Ambatovy a significativement appuyé le développement économique et social tant dans ses régions d'implantation qu'au niveau national, créé des milliers d'emplois directs et indirects, soutenu les entreprises locales, et formé des milliers de Malgaches. La Compagnie a également mis en place de robustes programmes de conservation de la biodiversité dont les résultats sont très positifs.

This year, Ambatovy celebrates the 10th anniversary of the production of refined nickel and cobalt briquettes.
"Ambatovy became the largest mining and processing operation in Madagascar and a top five refined nickel and cobalt operation in the world. By fully refining our products in-country, we bring significant value added in terms of local and national economic spin-offs. We can be proud of the Vita Malagasy products as they are contributing to the progressive use of clean energy, and nickel and cobalt are main components of electric vehicle batteries."
Over the past ten years, Ambatovy has significantly contributed to the economic and social development in its host regions as well as at the national level, created thousands of direct and indirect jobs, supported local businesses, and trained thousands of Malagasy people. The company has also implemented robust biodiversity conservation programs with very positive results.
