You know, medicines are expensive\u2019, said a young mother, Anita Rafaniriantsoa, during the mobile consultations organized by Ambatovy for communities living near its Moramanga mine. In collaboration with the Moramanga Public Health District Service (SDSP), Ambatovy once again offered free medical consultations in villages surrounding its mine, continuing its annual tradition. This year\u2019s sessions, held during the last week of November 2024, took place in the villages of\u00a0Ampitambe,\u00a0Befotsy,\u00a0Behontsa, and\u00a0Berano, reaching approximately\u00a0800 people of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Beneficiaries received:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ak-ul\" data-indent-level=\"1\">\n<li>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"807\">Free medical consultations and treatments,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"853\">HIV\/AIDS screenings, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"881\">Dental extractions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"904\">This initiative is part of Ambatovy\u2019s\u00a0Environmental Management and Social Development Plan (EMDSP), which outlines its social commitments to its host communities.
