Since its launch in 2012, approximately <strong data-renderer-mark=\"true\">4,700 individuals<\/strong> of this species, which is classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), have been successfully released into their natural habitat. The programme involves relocating <em data-renderer-mark=\"true\">Mantella aurantiaca<\/em> frogs from their spawning marshes within the mining footprint to the <strong data-renderer-mark=\"true\">Toby Sahona Breeding Centre<\/strong> in Andasibe. At the centre, the frogs are bred in captivity before being reintroduced into the wild to strengthen their population.<\/p>\n<p data-renderer-start-pos=\"345\">Ambatovy adheres to\u00a0<strong data-renderer-mark=\"true\">international conservation standards<\/strong>\u00a0and works in collaboration with both national and international experts and partners to ensure the program&#8217;s
