As an integral part of the existing biodiversity richness of the Ambatovy forest complex, these fish species that are new to science have been transferred to the rivers that are not impacted by the Mine and to the \u201cnatural basins\u201d located in the conservation areas surrounding Ambatovy\u2019s Mine Site. The ecological monitoring carried out following their transfer has enabled an inventory of young individuals, thus substantiating the fact that these fish species are well adapted to their new habitats. Ambatovy is currently conducting the genetic studies, the morphological descriptions, and determining the range of these fish species so that the species can receive their scientific names and their IUCN status.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10935 aligncenter\" title=\"poisson\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ambatovy.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/poisson.jpg\" alt=\"poisson\" width=\"515\" height=\"169\" \/> Les poissons end\u00e9miques <em>Ratsirakia sp.<\/em> (\u00e0 gauche) et <em>Rheocles sp.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Plus de 6 000 individus de poissons end\u00e9miques Ratsirakia sp. et Rheocles sp. ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sauvegard\u00e9s dans les zones de d\u00e9frichement du site minier d\u2019Ambatovy \u00e0 Moramanga dans le cadre du programme de gestion des poissons end\u00e9miques mis en \u0153uvre par la Compagnie. Faisant partie int\u00e9grante des richesses en biodiversit\u00e9 existantes dans le complexe forestier d\u2019Ambatovy, ces poissons qui sont des esp\u00e8ces nouvellement d\u00e9couvertes par les scientifiques, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 transf\u00e9r\u00e9s dans des rivi\u00e8res non impact\u00e9s par la mine et des \u00ab bassins naturels \u00bb situ\u00e9s dans les zones de conservation autour de la Mine d\u2019Ambatovy. Les travaux de suivi \u00e9cologique men\u00e9s apr\u00e8s leur transfert ont permis l\u2019inventaire des individus juv\u00e9niles, d\u00e9montrant, par cons\u00e9quent, que les poissons s\u2019adaptent bien \u00e0 leurs nouveaux habitats. Actuellement, Ambatovy est en train de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, la description morphologique et la zone d\u2019occurrence de ces poissons afin qu\u2019ils puissent avoir leurs noms scientifiques et leur statut UICN.<!--:-->\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 6,000 individuals of the endemic fish Ratsirakia sp.
