{"id":14996,"date":"2011-10-21T04:40:29","date_gmt":"2011-10-21T08:40:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ambatovy.com\/docs\/?p=7060"},"modified":"2011-10-21T04:40:29","modified_gmt":"2011-10-21T08:40:29","slug":"ankerana-forest-massif-neighboring-communities-receive-environmental-education-and-awareness-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambatovy.com\/en\/ankerana-forest-massif-neighboring-communities-receive-environmental-education-and-awareness-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Ankerana Forest Massif: Neighboring communities receive environmental education and awareness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t<!--:en--><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-7062\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ambatovy.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sensibilisation-Ankerana-300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" \/>8,623 persons were targeted during the environmental awareness campaign organizedfrom September 15th to October 19th2011, by Ambatovy\u2019s Environment Department in the Ankerana Forest Massif, an off-site conservation area of the Project.<\/p>\n<p>The objective is to raise the local community\u2019s consciousness and encourage them to undertake efficient actions to preserve the natural resources neighboring the forest and develop the villagers\u2019 sense of environmental responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>The populations of ten villages including those from the Fokontany of Anivoranokely, Ambatolampy, Ambodilendemy, Maroseranana and Bezono will be given a sense of responsibility regarding environmental challenges through information and awareness sessions, as well as, be encouragedto participate in several activities, such as singing competitions on the radio and film showings on the fight against deforestation and bush fires. The establishment of environmental education, information and awareness sessions involve the collaboration of several stakeholders such as the Regional Office of Environment and Forests, the Office of Environment and Forest in the District of Brickaville, Conservation International and local authorities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-7062\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ambatovy.com\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sensibilisation-Ankerana-300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" \/>8 623, c\u2019est le nombre de population cible pr\u00e9vue dans le cadre de la campagne de sensibilisation environnementale lanc\u00e9e du 15 septembre au 19 octobre 2011 par le D\u00e9partement Environnement d\u2019Ambatovy dans le Massif forestier d\u2019Ankerana, une zone de conservation hors site du Projet.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019objectif est de sensibiliser les communaut\u00e9s locales \u00e0 mener des actions efficaces pour la conservation des ressources naturelles autour dudit massif, et d\u00e9velopper chez les villageois un r\u00e9flexe environnemental responsable.
