Ambatovy has responded in support of the request made by the District Operations Coordination Center (CCOD), in Moramanga, to lend a hand in the fight against Covid-19. In April 2021, the company provided medical equipment, spray on and wipe off virucidal disinfectants, office supplies, and a generator to the health authorities of this locality. The handing over of the donations, worth over 26 million Ariary, took place in three stages. The silent 6 KVA generator was donated at the beginning of the month while the provision of the first wave of medical materials and equipment took place on April 16, 2021. It included FFP2 face masks, surgical masks, and Tyvek coveralls. On April 23, 2021, Ambatovy donated 30 liters of Virokil virucidal products, six sprayers, a few bottles of disinfectant, and office supplies to the CCOD of Moramanga. In 2020 alone, the company’s contributions to the fight against Covid-19 in Madagascar amounted to 1,087,368,027 Ariary. In addition, stringent health and hygiene regulations along with other special measures (organizational and logistical) were implemented at our sites to protect employees and ensure a safe and reliable production.
